Scotland - must do things??

Hi,

We're off to sunny Scotland for a holiday. What are the must do things while we're there? We are willing to travel around to see the sights. We do have a 5 and 2 yr old in toe though too.

Any hints would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

also wondering same as butterfly - have you planned what area you're going to yet?

Hi sorry I was a little vague. We're staying near Perth for a while but then want to spend another 2 nights somewhere else, which is yet to be determined as it depends on what we want to see most.

All hints and ideas are most welcome!

thanks.

It's quite a big place. Lots of outdoorsy stuff to do but you don't say what sort of activity you'd like.

Edinburgh is good for sightseeing
The West Coast is great for the scenery and walking in the hills
There's a safari park near Stirling (is it open atm?)
Wildlife park at Kincraig
Loads of archaeology in the Orkneys
Whisky in the Highlands
The Science Museum in Glasgow is good for kids
etc

Google is your friend, really.

Summer? Winter? It's a pretty vague request.

Spring Autumn.

It rains a lot you know. If it does and you are in Perth go to Noaks Ark.

Aberfeldy/Kenmore for scenery up the A9 from Perth.

thanks. We're going in winter. Cold, wet, snow I expect....
