Aparthotel - Europe - good ones?

Would like the space of an apartment but facilities/meals/pool etc of an hotel.

Also, not really into full on day and night time entertainment/kids clubs. Just a few things going on would be preferable!

Anyone stayed somewhere nice?

Thanks.

We went to one in the south of france, up in the mountains. It was nice to have the pool, bar and restaurant as well as having an apartment.

Thanks Mrsspnut - that looks lovely - and reasonably priced too.

Thanks GM that looks lovely - can I ask who you booked through? Did you get a package with flights?

Thanks.

Another question GM did you go with children and if so do they have family rooms? Can't see the relevant info on their website just mentions suites but not no/type of beds!!

Hotels viva apartments are lovely, we've been to the one in minorca and majorca. The majorca one was all inclusive, food was very good. The entertainment is a bit full on, although I thought high quality, but the minorca one is very near the town so you can avoid by going out if you want to. www.hotelsviva.com

We booked through First choice, we had ds who was only 1 at the time, so he shared a bedroom with us, but I'm sure they had 2 bedroom apartments.

Its not uber posh - but it was very clean, and enough facilities to feed ds. The best part is the location - right on an amazing marina development - loads of lovely restaurants/shops/bars. All very child friendly, and a 20 min walk to Playa Blanca which is a bit more british touristy

Stayed in one in Barcelona that was good. Are you looking for a resort or a city break?

merlin · 29/11/2009 19:45

Said, as much as I love Barcelona but this one needs to be a resort holiday! Thanks.
