hi stayed at presthaven which is 5 mins from rhyl a couple of weeks ago, went to the sun centre and it is great. my daughter is 10 and she loves it there. everywhere is really clean, changing rooms are great and ther is plenty of snack bars and fast food kiosk so u can get plenty too eat and not very expensive. all in all a great day out. the beach at rhyl is beautiful, donkeys etc and plenty of shops to get buckets and spades etc. also an outdoor pool if you get too hot in the sun centre.

Thanks pixiefish

Joec thanks for that, Is there changing rooms where I can take DS and be together to change?

I will take him with me anyway but are they set out like that?

Is parking there ok?

yes think there is.
we tend to go in with cossies under clothes and use changing rooms when we are going home.lots of parking places. use the ones at the sun centre and you dont have to pay. good value for money and the kids always love it there
u can buy arm bands and stuff in the shop inside if you need anything like that aswell

RTKangaMummy · 23/06/2005 13:49

Looking forward to it

Do you reckon I could let him go to top of slides and me wait in the pool at the bottom?

He is 10, but not very confident. I will not be going down them

OP posts:
joec · 23/06/2005 16:02

yes u will b able to wait at the bottom because they arent deep at the end. tapers off at the end and the water is only a few inches deep

Just thought would let you know that I can't take DS here

He is on school trip and was going to have a long walk today but because of his hypermobilty he cannot walk for long distances

Anyway the teachers have changed the day and are now doing a shorter walk which means I do not get to spend the day with him

He comes home tomorrow evening

I was looking forward to taking him swimming but couldn't really justify it given that they had changed the arrrangements of the day so that he could do the shorter walk

Also for the other children to see him going out for the day with his mum while they are not able to seee theirs would be rather unfair if it wasn't medically nessecary IYSWIM

I took my book and went to rhyl on tuesday and sat next to the beach in the sunshine

rhylsville is thrillsville, rhyl is the place to come, rhylsville is thrillsville...it's the R H Y l ville .....don't remember the rest! My dad's mate wrote and sang it though. Rhyl's nice when the weather's hot...that's all I can say really. (I live about 5 mins walk from the SunCentre and it's always had a great reputation...started going when I was about 9 years' old ...i'm 38 now!)However, Llandudno is absolutely beautiful...except the seagulls are fatter and snobbier!
