Hi,please could you recommend a place to stay and any other tips for a much needed break in Ludlow for the medieval Christmas weekend.Unfortunatly only can stay one night -the Friday 27th November.
Thank you very much in anticipation.

Depends on your budget really. Mr Underhills (restaurant with rooms) is LOVELY but not v cheap (and may be booked already actually.)

Also, how close to Ludlow do you want to be?

The Elms and Hundred House Hotel are both nice, but a bit outside Ludlow.

Hi notyummy, thank you for that.I dont mind been outside Ludlow.I will look up those suggestions. If any other mumsnetters can suggest anything please let me know. Also,is there a park and ride.We want to make the best of Saturday,as we have to dash back unfortunatly for our disabled son to collect from respite. They can only offer us one nights respite from sept - jan so we want to make the best of this one night, and Ludlow, but we havent got loads of money either.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS,but fully booked!
I think I am going to find it difficult finding a friday night on a special weekend like the medieval christmas market but will keep trying.Notyummy, thank you very much for your inspiring suggestions, will certainly bear in mind for the future.

You may need a B and B more than a hotel - tripadvisor will have lists of good ones around Ludlow.

notmummy, can I thank you for your fabulous replies.Unfortunatly, having looked at my statement on-line I am having to lower my sights somewhat. Also,I did not realise just how beautiful Ludlow is and how much there is to see. Therefore,I have decided to make this weekend a biggie in the future rather than a supermarket dash.Thank you again, you`re very kind
