Nice places to visit near Okehampton which don't cost the earth

Anyone got any suggestions? I have a 6mnth old DS, so it would have to be baby friendly

Do you walk, there are loads of different types of walking in the area, from gentle country lanes to wild ,rugged moorland. Castle Drogo is nice too, take a picnic, they have lots of activities throughout the summer at very reasonable prices, we learnt how to play croquet there one day, when we lived in Devon.
