Hi,

We're looking for a great winter holiday destination suitable for a family with young children.

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks!

You dont say age of children or budget, ski school is fun for kids 3 upwards. Winter cruise in Caribbean you will get the weather and there are kids clubs, Beaches resort in Turks & Caicos is fabulous. South Africa is lovely January/February but kids will be bored with the garden route drive. Canary Islands only 4 hours away and will be mild and some of the hotels have great kids clubs

thanks.

Any other ideas also welcome. What about Scotland? Just looking for place that offers great kids entertainment and relaxation for us...

thanks again!

We have had nice winter holidays staying near Malaga. We have stayed at my Mums but there are loads of accomodation options.

Malaga obviously has the Picasso museum, castles and historical stuff whereas nearby Benelmadena has Tivoli, zoo/sealife, cable cars etc. There are interesting caves in Nerja and you can take a land train round the town. I really like the beach at Rincon de la Victoria.

Have you thought about cruises? Most of the big cruise liners head for the Carribean in the winter but they are amazing for families as there is entertainment nearly all time that you can join in when you want to.

We did stay at a really nice hotel in Mexico called the Iberostar Paraiso del Mar which was lovely in many ways but we couldn't do much cultural stuff like Chichen Itza as our kids were too young.
