anniversary ideas? Where to have a couple of nights away just before Xmas?

maybe a city break? see a show or a concert or something? alternatively somewhere lovely in the country but what would we do all day if it's grim weather? (steady!) We have the dates 20 & 21 Dec. Anyone know something great to do and somewhere lovely to stay then - dc's will be left with gran in the midlands so please don't suggest Cornwall/Scotland

pleeeeeease someone suggest something cos if I don't sort it it won't get done and then it's a tenth anniversary simply slipping by unmarked or panic sorted at the last minute and costing us a fortune

York, yes lovely - a bit far away but may be worth it (we'll already have deriven for 4 hours to get to Nottingham though) What should we do/see there? Where should we stay?
