a week of messing around and no closer to booking holiday. We want a nice hotel with excellent kids childcare facilities for over xmas. Can anyone recommend something please? Thanks

we went to first choice holiday village over summer it was the one in majorca but they do have one in the canaries. Think it's lanzarote.

Anywawy we were really impressed with the kids facilities they had clubs 0-3 3-6 7-12 (roughly can't remember exactly) then a teenagers one.

The rooms were clean and well organised staff were lovely also kids entertainment at night.

Obviously only been to the one in Majorca but I'm guessing they're much the same.

Abama Hotel in Tenerife is fantastic, quite pricey but if it's in your budget I would highly recommend it.

keep them coming please. The Tenerife one looks lovely but only caters for over 3's and our son is just 2

hey - why not look after your OWN kid?!

stressed2007 · 11/11/2009 21:27

errr because that is what we do the other 358 days of the year and we would like some kind of break from it (even if it is only a few hours a day)?

Sunsail have a Club in the Canaries now, and their childcare is excellent. Have been with them to Greece and wouldn't hesitate to try them again.

YOu don't have to be into sailing either! - But the equipment and tuition is there if you want to learn! We didn't, (too lazy) but took a sea kayak out a few times, and blagged rides on the large sailing boats being taken out by others!

You wont get free childcare under 4, unless others know different. You can only go for nanny/babysitter and it'll cost. The Abama in Tenerife wanted over £20ph.

I went for a private nanny in tenerife but that worked out cheaper at 15 euros per hour.

Your pushing it now to find good accommodation in good climates and avail flights.

Roca Nivaria in Tenerife - nice resort and good kids club - quite a bit cheaper than the Abama too. Kids club takes kids from 10 months - no charge.
