Has anyone hired a cook (either local or agency) for their self catering holiday in France?

FIL has generously hired a lovely villa in the Dordogne for the end of August, and is trying to get a cook for the whole week. The agency he's got it through have no recommendations of anyone, but I'm sure there must be agencies for this kind of thing?

I've googled chef + dordogne and obviously got a thousand unhelpful results, but does anyone have any ideas on this, please? It can't be that strange an idea surely?
