Just wondered. know Tenerife can be windy but if it's cool/cold as well, it will be a holiday wasted for us. Anyone been in Feb?

i should think so. I've been for the first week of jan and the temps are high-teens/low 20's. By the end of Feb it should be a v. pleasant mid-20's and warmer if sheltered in the sun.

We went to Lanzarote mid/late February and the weather must be similar. Cool evenings and first thing but despite the wind the days were lovely and warm, certainly 25ish.

oooh - thanks for that. My dh now wants to go to sharm el sheikh (says it's cheap and hot). But AIBU to think 1) it's not entirely safe and 2) they seem to have gone a bit bonkers about swine flu there. I don't want to be worrying about a holiday months in advance.
