As per the title... looking for ideas on places to visit with children (aged nearly 2yrs and 5yrs) this week. Ideally fairly low cost.
Surrey Berkshire Hampshire area... ideally West Surrey, East Berkshire, North Hampshire.

perhaps worth upgrading to a merlin pass so you can do the Zoo part at chessington over the wineter?

They've opened a new section where you can get really close to animals such as the Capybara, Wallabies, skunks, deer etc There are also viewing domes in the meerkat enclosure!

Didn't like seeing the owls being fed dead chicks though!

LOL, took DD to Birdworld some months back and she LOVED the whole owl/dead chick scenario. Plus the penguins being very stinky. Sadly BW is rather expensive for what it is.

Speaking of Windsor GP and Virginia Water, another worth considering is Saville Gardens - even if you don't visit the gardens there is a lovely free play park for littlies round the corner from the car park, plus all the rest of the park to run about in.

We do Savill so offten I think they get tired of it, Have gone to Alice Holt today, the boys are currently moving stones from one side of a small grass area to another. Picnic time soon.
I have merlin so have been to Chessington with youngest, so may suggest that eldest child has one, though its very costly given it will only be used in school hols.
