Want a really fun holiday for us and our (then) 18 month old, for October. Quite a small budget...

Butlins?
Haven?
B&B's at the seaside?

Dare I mention this...

Butlins horror

We're going at the end of the month, peak season in top deluxe accomadation and it's only cost us £189 for a week.

lunavix · 13/06/2005 20:01

But will it be fun? I think I've heard good things about haven, but horror stories about butlins... is there a half term in october? Will it be dead?

NBG- i would go in peak, but I remember a horror holiday to butlins with my parents when I was about 8, they took me out of school to get a good deal and we were the only people there!

If you book on-line it will be cheaper as well.

I can't wait to go. We're off to Bognor Regis and it's right on the beach. It will have everything for dd who is 20 months and if the weather is rubbish (god forbid) at least there will still be things to do.

Nbg · 13/06/2005 20:05

I'm not really bothered about it being dead. It's better really. We'll have all the swimming pools to ourselves and all the other facilities.

I go to Butlins every year - but will only stay in the really nice apartments and always go self catering.
We really enjoy it. October it will be quite quiet - but that is not always a bad thing. It is such good value for money. I think I wouldnt go if we didnt have ds and were not skint though. But there is so much for him to do and I must admit if he has a nice holiday then we do!

lunavix · 13/06/2005 20:05

YG - is there anything like that near you?

We're still wanting to move up start of next year, and if we take an extended few days then we could always have a look around...

What do you think it'd be like off peak though?
