LOL i was all set to tell you about our child-free weekend in Venice. Dunno anything about Florence. Except don't drive - there is apparently a really badly marked central congestion charge zone that catches everyone out and you end up with fines arriving in the mail months later!

Oh and I had loads of good tips for Venice too
