Any suggestions for three friends to go away for a couple of nights between London and Brighton to enjoy a joint 40th birthday celebration will be gratefully received!

Sometimes you can get good deals if you book through things like last minute.com or quidco. You could search for special offers perhaps?

Have a look at the George Hotel in Rye. Rye is lovely and there are great walks round there
