4/5* Hotel in Red Sea Area, Egypt with good kids clubs.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a 4/5* hotel in the Red Sea area of Egypt that has good kids clubs ( Ds's are 2 and 4). Also we don't want to be shoehorned into a tiny room so anywhere that does a good price for interconnecting rooms. There seems to be millions of hotels in that area and I can't work out which looks the best.

I can recommend the Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh in Hurghada but don't know about kids club as we stayed there pre-baby and out of the main holiday season. However, we did notice how fantastic the staff were with kids. The rooms are all suites - villas with your own little garden - and the service is amazing.

Hi Mamavoo, that sounds lovely. We stayed at 2 oberois on our honeymoon and loved them. Will have a look....could be dangerous !!

Have you thought of the Four Seasons?

mousemole · 30/09/2009 16:23

that sounds good hf- will have a look. Just peaked at the Oberoi website and given both kids could be in our room at no extra charge it is actually not bad value.

Also consider boooking flights and accommodation yourself, rather than a package.

mousemole · 30/09/2009 16:28

yes was thinking of doing that- any recommendations as to who is good for the hotel side ? Or would you recommend the hotel direct ?

I would use the Hotel direct. After much googling to see if there were any bargains to be had!

I think BA now fly to Sharm.

Also check out the hotel reviews on Tripadvisor.

Check out key2holidays.co.uk for packages, or even get them to price up what you want. I found them really good value when we went to Egypt a few years ago.

thanks Mamavoo and Hf, will do

try the holiday village in sharm. They have kids clubs (although they only start from 3 yrs) and you could book a kids den room which has a seperate bedroom with bunk beds in.

Gets great reviews on trip advisor - we are going at Christmas.

mousemole · 01/10/2009 11:43

thanks Hersetta definitely sounds worth a look. Christmas there sounds great !

Can recommend Sunrise Royal Makadi for this- kid's club, interconnecting rooms for tiny supplement and lovely staff/ services/food/prices etc. we went back two years running.

mousemole · 01/10/2009 17:28

thanks Johnny - what age did the kids club start ?

Went to the Four Seasons a couple of years ago. Really fab and the boys could both share our room. It is one of the cheapest Four Seasons (they are usually horrendously expensive!.

Also, they had a nice kids club. I would check very carefully the age limits. Some will allow young children but you have to be there as well!

mousemole · 01/10/2009 19:22

thanks Rocky - I spotted the Four Seasons and it looks great. Who did you book through ?

Hyatt Regency is fab-they have inter-connecting rooms, good kids club and all round great service and food.Good "entertainment" for the kids in the evening too.

mousemole · 01/10/2009 20:00

whooosh -can you remember what age the kids club started ? Did you book direct or through an agency ?

Hmmm-that may be the problem-I think it may be 3.....sorry.
I booked through Sovereign.

We stayed at the Mark Warner in Hurghada - can't remember whether it was the Hilton or the Radisson but it was FAB. The rooms were gorgeous and the kid's club apparently excellent although our boys are teenagers so different requirements.
