First holiday with children want advice on self catering

We go on a self catering caravan holiday on Friday with DD 22 months and DS 4 months. Basically I want to know what to take and what meals are good when self catering. We will probably eat out a couple of times but are on a very tight budget. I have made and frozen a lasagne for the first night any words of wisdom and good easy meals we can make??

Febes - hope you have a lovely holiday. When we are camping we tend to have lots of pasta / sauce combos. Also, easy things like sausage, egg and beans etc but it depends on what type of cooker you've got in your caravan - if it is like the one we had when we were in France you could cook anything you would normally make.

Buy a ready cooked chicken from local supermarket, nice easy tea with salad and leftovers in sandwiches next day.

If where you're staying has a takeaway, you could get a couple of portions of chips to go with whatever you're making.

Happy holidays!

Jacket spuds, you can shove them in the oven and go swimming or whatever and they will be ready when you get back. Have a great time.
