Weather in NYC in October?

Off to NYC on the 9th f October - am panicking about what the weather is going to be like/what I'll need to take to wear.

Have had a look at various websites - and the general opinion seems to range from warm - 15-20deg (well warm for a geordie who lives in Scotland), to snow.... ARGHHHHH

Anyone advise?

Early Oct should be glorious - chances of cold/snow almost zero.

I think you should take as little as possible, and then hpe you can use the weather as a perfect excuse to head straight to Bloomingdales

weather.com October averages

The record lows are pretty low admittedly but they are unusual, honest

So pumps/leggings/t-shirt/vest/cardigan is a go-er.

Would like to stock on some stuff ME but the thought of turning up in NYC with nowt to weat fills me with dread!

True, I guess. One needs to look one's best for those cupcakes at Magnolia and pre-dinner cosmos, after all. There are standards to be maintained.

Have fun!

I went for Halloween years ago and the weather was glorious, as Ponders said. Much hotter than it is here in September!
