Er that's it really- going to hong king with 15 month dd next month. Flying overnight both ways so hoping can get her to sleep but any tips apart from that? Best go try and get into local time or phase back bedtime gradually . Hong kong is about 7 hours ahead. Also w are only there for a week so am wondering how realistic it is to think she will get over it.

IME from travelling with DS at about 18 mo your DD will be just about getting over it when you fly back. We found that for every hour in time difference DS needed a day, so Singapore/Malaysia was also 7 hours different and he wasn't completely adjusted for a week.

It's not too much of a problem in the day if you have a pushchair then you can let her sleep a little, the worst bit is 4 am when they wake up and want to play. The best advice I can give is to try an keep her awake from 3pm onwards.

DH and I found it particularly difficult as neither of us really suffer from jet-lag, we are usually in the new zone after our first night's sleep there so we were completely out of sync with DS.
