Not necessarily v. hot but a bit of sunshine would be nice. Not too far away - prob max 4 hrs flight. Be good to have some stuff for dd to do but still want a bit of privacy (i.e not a big resort). Thanks x

Hi,

We did Gran Canaria in January this year and it was perfect. Really bright and sunny, pool temperature was great. Temp was mid 20's every day and in the evening you just needed a cardy if anything. DH was wearing short sleeved shirts in the evening and was quite comfortable.
DS was almost two so temp was perfect for him too and we didn't have to constantly worry that it was too hot.

Good luck

Thanks FF. Was it a busy place you stayed at? We haven't been on this sort of hol since we were much younger - usu get a house/pool and share with friends. Bit worried we'd end up somewhere with cabaret/disco - not really what we want.

I would say Canary Islands would be the best choice in february. We went to Playa Blanca in Lanzarote which was nice.

Hellomight be able to help you. we went to lanzerote in feb but was windy and cold, try Egypt sharm or Hurghada or even Taba for more consistent weather

Madeira would be nice also it was low 20's for the first week of Jan when we went so probably mid-20's in Feb. Choose a hotel with indoor heated pool and you'll be fine. Lots to do there, things to see etc. for a week.

We stayed here at the Suite Hotel Eden Mar, with a 3yo, it was excellent, a one-bed suite meant we could stay up after DD went to bed and it had a small kitchenette to be able to bring takeaway back to our room for a bit of flexibility.
