Girls night out in York

Am v excitedly planning a night away with my best mates in York - we haven't spent "quality" time together, unencumbered by children and spouses in an age. Can anyone recommend a good, non-pretentious, fun restaurant and a good bar or three for 3 lovely ladies and the not nearly so lovely me?

Ooh lucky you - York is lovely. I'm in Harrogate not too far away, but don't really know it well enough to reccommend restaurants. I'm sure someone will come along who can though.
