Weather in Sardinia in October

Looking at 5 night short break in sardinia last week in Oct. looking at alghero. Anyone know what the weather is like this time of year there?

I was there once late Sept and it was quite chilly and windy. Rained very hard a couple of days too. Don't know if this was unusual.

That was what worrie about. Also plan to go to alghero. Is it still lively last wk in oct and is there stuff to do if does rain?

My general experience of Sardinia was that it closed mid September. It seemed that once the main holiday season was over, people shut up shop and got on with quiet lives. We found lots of places shut by mid September already. We were travelling around a bit though so didn't look for too much in Alghero itself, there was enough to do there for a couple of nights.

Need to make a decision to book or not by tomorrow-hmm?
