where is hot (and cheapish) for w/e break mid-end sept?

Has been a tiring summer and am in need of some sun! No cash but will bash the credit card for a w/e break with my friends if it will get me through the winter. Can anyone recommend somewhere that will be hot mid-end September? I need to be on a sun lounger with a book for 2/3 days. As cheap as is possible.

We just had a lovely 2 days in Malaga which cost just over £400 for hotel and flights for 2 nights for both of us. Stayed in Malaga town centre; hotel had a small pool but there is also the beach. And it was hot, but unfortunately it also rained (Sat pm and Sun am) which was unexpected for the time of year.

Can def recommend as a venue - not touristy at all - very Spanish with lovely tapas restaurants and a beautiful old town centre with cathedral and castle.
