travelling with baby on ryanair is passport needed

i have booked a flight for my 4 week old baby for sept from manchester to ireland and would like to know if i need a passport for her, i have tried to look on the ryanair site but i must be sleep deprived but i cant see the info i need. i thought i only needed a birth certificate but now im worried in case i need a passport. can anyone help me out please x

Hi,
We took ds, then aged 12 weeks, on a Birmingham to Isle of Man flight and needed a passport for him, for identification purposes.
I would assume you will need some form of id for your dd but no doubt someone will be along with a definitive answer soon.

I think you'll probably need a passport as you're going from England to Ireland. If in doubt, just give Ryanair a call.

I wouldn't call them - I would just get her a passport.

As it's ryanair, they will do everything in their power to make things difficult for you, so it's best not to give them the opportunity.
