Laptops in car

We are going to the south of france in a couple of weeks, so long drive and a 6yr ds and 3 yr dd. We are planning on taking the laptop so they can watch dvd's etc.

But I am imagining it will be hard to hold/balance the laptop. Any suggestions?

Seen this laptop trap on ebay, anyone have one or similar and found it useful?

I think the main problem with a laptop in car is that you will need to get a special car charger for it. A three hour battery won't give you much respite.

Obviously car DVDs also need chargers, but they come with the package.

I started with laptop between 3 DCs but very quickly moved to a DVD for each DC, not cheap but worth every penny (with DVDs we can do East Anglia to Scotland with just the one stop!).
