Does anyone know if you an take a double buggy on a plane> It is the one in front of the other type. I have a 2yr and 9month and don't think I can manage without it. I have been on the BA website and they say only one stroller per child. Anyone know anything?? Thanks!

I am going on holiday with a 3 month and 3 year old and wanted a small folding double pushchair any suggestions which ones are good?

I travelled on my own with two under two and took a mountain buggy side by side, and no issues, I I literally had it with me till I boarded the plane and it was waiting there by the exit when we landed.

BA took our Phil and teds and destroyed it.
they also took out NDNs and destroyed that too.
we then bought a McClaren and that was fine. The bugaboo was okay too, but we had a massive carrier and I don’t think they will take that any more.
they did pay fir ours, but it took several months.

It’s slightly unfair to say it’s BA. It’s almost certainly the baggage handlers. I suspect BA staff had no involvement. Annoying though.

You can get pushchair protection bags. I would maybe put it in the oversized baggage drop off. I cannot see how it can be allowed on the plane but protect it for hold carrying. If you can pad the bag a bit, that helps too. DH pads his ski bag with a few bits of underwear! Use alternative baby carrying method after bag drop off .

They won’t be allowed on the plane itself unless it’s a YoYo type that can go in overhead lockers, but you can take a pram (double or single) to the plane steps. You then fold it up and it’ll go in the hold, and you’ll collect it at the bottom of the plane steps on the other side.
