Where are you taking them to also? Lots of coutries wont let you take food stuffs through customs.

Why are you taking it as hand baggage, can you not buy there? (sorry never really understood the point of taking food on hols, unless youre camping, and even then I cant be bothered )

no- we got a pot of homemade marmalade confiscated at Gatwick recently. Can't belive that marmalade could be a security risk...however would Paddington have got here??!!
