Mallorca / Majorca in October - likely to be too cold? too rainy?

I was hoping for NYC at Oct half term but now Mallorca / Majorca (not sure which it's called these days) has been suggested

I've just looked at the weather guides and it suggests it could be rainy

Anyone been then?

We've done Majorca in October , it was windy rather than rainy , but still ok for the beach and outdoor pools . It does tend to be last week of season at half term thgouh so things are shutting down.

Went to Majorca first week of Oct (bit earlier than 1/2 term I know) and weather fine for the whole week but it was all Rather Shut.

Do you have any other options?
It will be end of season so lots of places closed, inc kids clubs at some hotels/apts.
You will get people saying they have been and its been fine, but is probably the exception rather than the rule.
What about the Canaries? or Greece/Cyprus?

thanks all
end of season & borderline weather sounds bad to me
