10 day trip October Half-Term. Any recommendations?

We're not going away over the summer due to dh's work so I am keen to get a trip booked for october half-term.
The DDs have inset days either side of half term so we could get a good 10-12 days away.

Where shall we go?
DDs will be 4 and 5.7 at end October.

I was thinking an all-inclusive in middle east (warm, no jet lag). Quite happy to do chill out pool holiday with a couple of day excursions if we fancy it. Any recommendations or alternative suggestions for child-friendly holidays at that time of year.

Have you looked at the Algarve? We went last year from 2nd Oct- 8th Oct and had fabulous weather. Flights 2.5 hours then hired a car there. Child friendly and lots of things for the kids to do.

thanks, our half term doesn't finish til 2nd Nov, so the very end of oct/early nov. I was presuming europe was out of the question. maybe not?

Another vote for the Algarve. We've been october half term and had good weather. Definitely remember dd2, then about 5, on beach in bikini on 1st November!

How about the holiday village Sharm El Sheikh. Has great reviews and guaranteed sun!

We went to Benalmadena in the 2nd week in October was still very hot. Also Tenerife is great for the weather in October. But would highly reccomend Cyprus. It is great for the sunshine in October, Very child friendly and not too busy we have had plenty great holidays there with the kids.
