Saltwell Park - Gateshead - Is it any good for an 18 month toddler

Morning All

I am going up to Newcastle at the weekend and my sister is going to meet up with us and look after my DS while I nip into the shops (credit card left at home!!).

Do you think there is enough at Saltwell Park to keep them amused for 2 - 3 hours, and is there a cafe where they could grab a drink and bite to eat?

Thanks Molly - it looks great - it is years since I have been there, so I am sure they will find the refreshed park great fun!

Saltwell park is brilliant and if the weather is kind to you then 2-3 hours may not be enough Its one of the few places in my childhood memories that is much much better now than it ever was back in the "good old days" and we always spend a day there whenever we make the long journey back North.
