Wine tasting weekend break in France..suggestions please..

Its my FIL's 60th next month and I have suggested to dh we send him and mil to france for a weekend wine tasting holiday..

Anyone been on one and suggestions please. Also ideas of price..? May be way out of our price range BUT guess we have to start somewhere..

Just a thought but maybe not much help ,if they are going next month, August, vineyards are fairly quiet at that time of year as not much happens . Harvest starts in september /october and things are fairly busy then.

Thanks blowbroth. Will bear that in mind. Just found a link for a company that allows you to buy the weekend breaks BUT they are valid for 6/12/18 months..that may be a good option....although not ideal esp if the company goes bum up like red letter days did .

It will be for august BTW, but only as a gift. Would ideally like them to book for a time convenient to them iykwim...
