meeting up with an old boyfriend (eek) - nothing flirty, just want to pick somewhere nice, can be pricey....outside ideally as going to be super hot. Also... what to wear?

the gun is right on the river

babylon at kensington roof gardens is lovely, though a bit overpriced for the quality. having said that, the lunch/prix fixe deals are good value.

or would you prefer him to take you up the Oxo Tower?

thanks, is babylon open air - or just big windows? fearing the heat!
I used to live near gun, looks cool, but might be a bit far out.
anyone been to the River Cafe? Is it past it now?

hmmm...did think of it, but does it have a proper terrace, out in the air? obsessed with air.

The Chez Gerard outside terrace in Covent Garden is great as if he's boring you can just people watch.

Or the terrace in the Royal Opera House itself - think the outside bit is more of a bar a bar food though.

If you're heading east, the roof terrace at the Boundary in Shoreditch is really fab.

thanks that looks just right...
