double or two singles or connector clip?

Due to fly next month to Majorca with 2 year old and 8 month old. Can't decide what to do about buggies for the flight and holiday. Is it best to take two Maclaren buggies or to buy a cheap 2nd hand double Maclaren or similar? Also quite tempted by "stroller connector clips" that clip two singles together, thought that might be good for the airport but haven't heard of anyone using them so don't know if they are any good. What do you guys recommend?

My friend who has twins and an older son, used the connector clips, and said they were great. When she needed her DH to do something else, she clipped the buggies together, or they could split up - useful for going into shops etc. She also took a sling (even though not a usual user) so that she could carry a little one if her son needed a rest
