I need to book hotels in Bangkok and Dubai for a month's time, and understand there are discounting websites that are good to book through. Which ones are best please?

priceline.co.uk?
expedia.co.uk?

I would go onto lastminute.com or expedia.com and see what kind of rate they are offering, then contact the hotel directly to see if you can get a better deal. We stayed in the Lebua in Bangkok (amazing "all suite" hotel) a couple of years back and got a better rate by e-mailing them quoting the lastminute rate and asking if they could do better. I've also done it with a Singapore hotel - got fab buffet breakfast included for the same as the room only rate on expedia. As that was before the current "global financial crisis" I would have thought you would do even bette now.
