Am thinking of taking dh on the orient express for his 40th? We would take it Paris stay in a hotel for 2 nights then fly home.

Is it worth it or over-rated?

Yes but it was 25 years ago would you believe. [old git]

I was a teenager but remember the food being AMAZING and the whole thing feeling like a proper adventure. Everyone got properly dressed for dinner etc.

I've just looked on railbookers and they had some good deals to Venice. It seems the dates are a bit limited though.

I went for a work Christmas do, pre credit crunch . Even though we just went down to the Kent coast and back, it was fab! It felt so glamorous and exciting, just like being in an Agatha Christie novel, without the grisly murders. Be sure to wear a cloche hat, long pearls and smoke elegantly.
