Toy cars and airport security - are we going to have problems?

3 year old DS wants to take his beloved Disney Car's collection on the flight to Barcelona - you know, the little corgi type cars. He wants to take 12 of them with him in his special 'travel bag'. DH thinks we willhave problems going through security and that they will set off the metal alarms and be confiscated. What do you think?

There shouldn't be a problem as long as they are not in his hand or pocket. My ds1 is a Cars addict and we have taken them on planes in handluggage - they get scanned and through you go.
