Book direct with the owner - my parents use Owners Direct and Villa Renters to advertise on but most of their bookings come form recommendations, word of mouth referrals and repeat bookings! They usually advertise on the small ads here but have just moved house so haven't sorted a new advert yet.

Thanks very much guys! The problem I find with the internet is you get spoilt for choice.

The other problem I have is I really don't know where to go. We have driven loads of times to the South of France pre dd. She will be 19 months in August. She is a good traveller though as my parents live 450 miles away.

I thought France would keep it simple. We went to Sardinia last year - that was good.
