Getting a Camper Van for Camp Bestival

DH is desperate to re-live his music-loving youth and drag us all to Camp Bestival in July. I actually quite fancy it, but couldn't bear the thought of not having my own toilet (I am a hotel junkie after all...) Does anyone know of a reasonable way of hiring a camper van for the weekend - everywhere we've found costs an arm and a leg??
Otherwise I'll send him and the kids on their own!

The short answer - not really I'm afraid, having looked into it myself.

It's peak rental season, therefore peak rates and companies often only hire out for a week at a time. Not many come in at much under £600 for the week either... as you probably discovered.

That's for a VW camper, which btw would not come with its own toilet, they're not big enough for that. Motorhomes would, and I know nothing about the cost of those...

hoteljunkie - the other option is camp bestival offers lots of boutique camping options, pre put-up tents, yurts, tipis etc, so you camp in separate area where I'd presume the loos are nearer and cleaner. Still not a cheap option though I don't think... nothing is at festivals these days really though.

Thanks guys. I've looked at the yurts - and they do look lovely, but aren't en suite!
Maybe I'll see if there's a nice hotel nearby...

I quite like the idea of my own chemical toilet though
