Edinburgh with 2 year old for fathers day weekend

Hello, I want to take DH away for fathers day weekend. Probably just the sat night as he works away during week and doesnt arrive home til 5pm on Friday. We are about 1 hours drive from Edinburgh so might go on Friday night to give us more time on the Sat.

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel, possibly with a family room? We've never shared a room with ds before! I dont want the weekend to be too hectic so only really plan to go to Edinburgh Zoo.

Not stayed in any hotels in Edinburgh as live too close but Le Monde in George St is a bar/restaurant/hotel. Don't know what the rooms are like or how pricey but the restaurant /bar area is nice, not too busy and have seen quite a few children/buggies etc in there (in daytime) without it being over-run with families - if that makes sense! Oh and they do a good eggs benedict. Just a suggestion!
