Alberoni Beach, Venice?

Has anyone visited Alberoni Beach near Venice? We are thinking of renting an apartment there for a week in July with ds 2.5. Any thoughts?

It is at the far end of the Lido - The beach is nice and big ( compared to the more cramped areas up near the centre). WHen I have been there have found it friendly , pretty tranquil good for families. There are regular buses up to the centre of Lido from here you can get the vaporetto into Venice itself. You are near to the end of the Lido so you can easily hop over to Chioggia which is nice.
In ALberoni if my memory serves me right you will find a couple of trattorie not many and the odd shop. Everything is a short bus ride away see www.actv.it for bus times. CAt me or come and find me on Little Italy if I can be of any more help ...I live in the city !
