where to buy full fresh fat cows milk in Puerto Pollensa, not long life?

Hi, I'm going to Puerto Pollensa on Sat and wondering if anyone knows if you can buy fresh milk. When I've been abroad before I've always struggled to find it (well, never have found any). This time it will be esential as I'm not sure DS will take to the longlife stuff.

Does anyone know the place well and can recommend somewhere? We'll be at the Puerto Azul, so in that area pref.

Thanks

Spain isn't the thirld world. All supermarkets (small and large) sell fresh full fat cows milk.

SimpleAsABC · 13/05/2009 15:16

that'll be you told!

So why can I never find any? Anyone got the spanish for it?

Hersetta, that's not true. We struggle to find fresh milk when in Spain and DS has enough Spanish to ask for it, full fat, semi-skimmed or otherwise. Even when you find a supermarket that stocks it, they don't always have it every day. Tho I have to say the UHT milk we had when we were there at Easter was fine. How old is your DS cheekychopsmum?

Hersetta · 13/05/2009 15:33

Full fat milk is leche entera.

My Mum lives in a small Spainish village (not in a tourist town) and we have never struggled to get hold of fresh milk for DD. Didn't have any problems when we went on holiday to Spain in March either.

Luckily, it's not an issue for us, we'll drink UHT if we have to but just prefer fresh. But it really isn't true to say you can get fresh milk in every supermarket, have been in countless Spanish supermarkets in recent years where they don't always have it. Hopefully you'll find that the supermarkets in Pollensa have it cheekychopsmum. Keep this bumped cos I think a lot of MNetters have been there. When my DCs were very small, we took a tin of follow-on milk powder, which they never had at home, but was there for emergencies.

There's a good size supermarket on the main road into Puerto Pollensa on the left just after the first roundabout.

Useful ink here. Hope you have a lovely time

Thanks! DS is 17 months. I'm sure he will drink UHT if we could find any, he's not usually a fussy child, I'm just trying to be prepared!

I au-paired in Spain 22 yrs ago and they had fresh milk then, so I imagine, especially in a touristy place (I wasn't) it won't be a problem.
