Was wondering if anyone knew what the rules on hand luggage where these days?

What toiletries can you carry?

Been awhile since I've flown so if anyone can help I would be grateful

(site keeps crashing on me)

With Ryanair you can carry one bag of up to 10kg in the cabin, but it must fit within certain dimensions (sorry don't have them handy at the moment). You can carry liquids, gels, etc. in containers under 100ml, but you'll need to present them for inspection in a clear plastic bag at security. Can't take tweezers, razors, etc. in cabin baggage.

Hope that helps!

I had to bash my bag into the size-guide thing in Birmingham on Monday.

In your suitcase....
They have some subtle differences also between things like solid lippy and lip gloss, that sort of stuff.....not worth having to hand it over tbh....

Why the to my post Maggs? The have a sort of cage at the boarding gate that you have to put your bag into, to make sure it fits. If it won't fit in your bag has to go into the main baggage hold.
Flying out from Dublin it fit into it fine but despite buying nothing in the UK it barely fit in on the way back. My friend and I had to lean on the bag and give it a few thumps to make it fit in!
There are little platic bags you buy at the airport which are quite small, about 20cm squared, and you are allowed to put as many containers up to 100ml that will fit into it. I had 3 100ml bottles of shampoo/conditioner/washing up liquid and a tiny tube of toothpaste.

We are only taking hand luggage to Spain on a short break

Then you're probably going to have to buy at least some of your stuff once you've cleared security...

Chipmonkey- really? As many 100ml bottles as you want? This makes me so cross that there is no consistency...in Rome at Christmas I had my second bottle of water taken from me....pfffft.

Bucharest, it was as many as would fit into one of those little bags you buy at the airport. You could have gotten maybe 5 in at a push.
