My ds (5) loves Greenwich. The National Maritime Museum is there (free), they usually have some form of craft event on during half term. You can catch a boat from Westminster Pier (across from the London Eye), another thing he loves to do. Then there is Greenwich Park which is a nice big green area to round around in, where you can visit the Observatory, see Greenwich Mean Time etc (free but if you want to see a Planetarium show you need to pay).

London Eye is good too. We have also been to the Transport Museum in Covent Garden but you have to pay for it.

The Zoo is near Regents Park (you can use Tesco Clubcard vouchers). Also the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum (again free).
