hi, i usually take a mixture of GBP/Euros on holiday but as the exchange rate is poor i dont know what to do.
i realise i will need more money than other years [used to take £100/day] and staying half board.
should i exchange my currency here or do it on holiday. also does anyone still use travellers cheques these days?

any tips please???

Depending on your bank and where you're going, it can sometimes be better to withdraw cash from ATMs in that country. It's a good idea to inform your bank when you go so that they don't freeze your account .

Nationwide don't charge for cash machine withdrawals, and sometimes it's cheaper with other banks to do it like this than to use a bureau de change.

Re traveller's cheques it can be a struggle to find somewhere that will deal with them these days, but again it depends where you go.
