Tesco Clubcard tokens P&O Ferries

We've accumulated a lot of Tesco Clubcard points and want to use them to pay for a ferry with P&O. My problem with it is: if I make a provisional ferry booking, they'll hold it for 5 days, to give me time to order the Clubcard tokens. BUT if the tokens don't arrive within the 5 days, we might lose the ferry booking AND end up with £300 of Clubcard tokens that we can't use! Is it me or is this a flawed and risky system?!

Í did this last year and am sure that Clubcard said if that happened I could return the vouchers and have them converted back into points. Have you asked them?

thanks Annh, no i havent asked them, but i will! Did you go with P&O ? because they are doing my head in. Different information on website and what they tell you on phone about their routes.

Tesco will take the vouchers back or replace them if they don't arrive.

Tesco insists you allow up to 2 weeks for delivery though, so their policies are not exactly synchronized with those of their partner company.

I've done this with Stena on a couple of occasions, no problems but you do need to sort it out well in advance to allow for all the to-ing and fro-ing with vouchers.

Hi Steamroller, no we used them for Irish Ferries and their website and phone prices seemed to match so I booked by phone. Are you using P&O to go from Scotland to Ireland because I don't think P&O accept them on any of their other routes?

Hi thanks annh and sinpan. we've opted for Irish Ferries because P+o were too expensive and confusing! IF seem much more straightforward.fingers crossed!
