Sorry, I don't, but if you email the hotel directly - [email protected] - they will often either organise a transfer for you or at least advise on costs etc. Hope this helps

Thankyou for your reply Directskiandsun

hi, sorry i'm not sure how much a taxi will be but think its about 2 hours from the airport so dont think it will be cheap.. We are going to the lara beach resort at the end of july, staying at a hotel called wow Topaki. Hope it is as nice as it sounds..

Hi Icanonlytry we have stayed at the Topkapi. It wasn't anywhere near a 2 hour transfer - less than an hour I am certain. Hope you have a fab time.

cherryapple we booked a private transfer through kesit.com but there are plenty of other companies you can book transfers with online like Key Transfers and A2B Transfers I think a car for 4 passengers is about £70 or £80 return. A taxi might be cheaper of course so hopefully someone else will reply to your question with taxi prices for you but having done a quick search on the Antalya forum of Tripadvisor it would appear that taxis charge between 20 to 30 euros per car dependent upon time of day and exact position of hotel along Lara Beach. Hope that helps.

Thankyou all so much for your helpful replies we wanted to hire a car there will be 4 adults, one 14 yr old and a 3yr old. But after doing a search they all seem so expensive to hire so we were thinking of hiring a car when we get there not sure if are doing the right thing

IME car hire for anything larger than a standard 4/5 seater car, is expensive. You are a party of 6, as we often are on holiday, and the 7 seater you need to get, can be an awful lot more than a standard car.

cherryapple · 06/05/2009 11:53

Thankyou for your reply Directskiandsun looks like its going to cost a bit then

Hi
We stayed in Lara Beach 2 years ago ~ sure it was only about 40 minutes transfer. our hotel, the Barut Lara resort sent a car to collect us. I wouldn't drive out though as I got scared just crossing the road.

Icanonlytry · 07/05/2009 09:55

Oh only 40 mins sounds great. The travel agent said it was 2hrs and I was worrying how we would cope with a 2hr drive after a 4hr flight.
Is the resort as good as it sounds?
Copycat, what is the hotel like, I've heard so many mixed reviews I'm not really sure what to expect.

copycat · 07/05/2009 11:29

cherryapple sorry to hijack your thread ....

Icanonlytry we were at the Topkapi in August 2006 so my opinion is probably not as much use to you as more recent reviews. However, for what it's worth we had a great holiday. Here is a link to the review I wrote for Tripadvisor if you are interested. I would imagine by now that the rooms would be in need of refurbishment as they were quite old and tired also it was very hot and busy in the main buffet restaurant, but otherwise the hotel was fine and the pools and slides were fantastic.

cherryapple · 07/05/2009 13:04

Just found out through our hotel that we should expect to pay 15-20 euro one way for a taxi.

Hi
The hotel was lovely, the beach fantastic and we had a fantastic time. When we went there wasn't a great deal to do in the resort outside of the hotel. There were a few shopping centre type places but these had lots of empty shops in them, sure that by now it has grown though.
We can recommend a taxi into Antalya though, we got ours from the office in resort and paid so much, sorry can't remember how much, but it was ours for 6 hours. We went to the bazaar, saw the camels on the beach and had a lovely meal out.
The bazaar is great for designer copies if you have children who like the latest in thing.
A great relaxing time was had by all of us.

Thankyou Debbie, I have been in touch with the hotel & they said they can arrange free transfers for us from the airport which is fantastic. They also know of a local car hire firm and the rates are 40 euro a day and 3 euro for a baby car seat this is the cheapest quote we have found beacause there will be 7 of us.

Cherryapple - told you . The better hotels will often collect guests from airports as an added service. My sister-in-law travels widely, and has never had to pay for a transfer for years. She DOES only stay in the more expensive hotels though, but nice to know there are perks . Have a wonderful time

cherryapple · 11/05/2009 07:16

Thankyou Directskiandsun,I never gave free transfers a thought so we are really pleased
