CHEAP OVERNIGHT STAY ST MALO

Arriving in St Malo on ferry late and need an inexpensive stopover before driving on down through France the next day.

Anyone got a recommendation please?

Have you tried the chain hotels such as Formule 1, Ibis, Campanile etc? These are usually just at the edge of large towns, ports etc or off motorways, and offer clean, basic accommodation which is fine for a stopover.

My advice would be don't stay in St Malo.

We're doing that, because DH insisted, so it had better be nice - but I think the prices are probably inflated and if you can bear to travel a bit further before stopping, then I would do.

Don't stay in the Ibis in St Malo my DD caught lice last year there !!!!!!!

jnb - think I'll give that one a miss then! Yuk!!
