We've booked up for first 2 weeks in July. I know the area, but wondered if anyone had any experience of the site (before it's too late to change my mind again)

hi i have been 3 times in last 6 years including the last two summers.

we love it. it is quite small but quiet even in august. the kids clubs are well run and even my shy dd was happy to go. good mix of english there and my son made lots of friends who were calling for him to play. there is a party once a week where the characters (patch, max and lilly) meet the kids/ the site manager speaks excellent english and is very helpful. the atmosphere is relaxed. pitches have shade and we had a lovely mobile home with decking near a playground. you can hire bikes (small selection but we got one for ds who was 8)

down side. there is only one restuarant and service is slow and it is pricy. there is a pizza takeaway. there is a good shop on the site. iy may appear a little dated but to me that is part of its charm

we are thinking about going back but have to go in the school holidays so we will wont be there at the same time.

Are you driving>

we did that the first year. now we fly from stansted to montepillier by ryan air and get a taxi as less than 10 minutes from airport

That's good news! We probably will drive. We live in Brussels so at least don;t have to worry about the channel crossing. I looked at flights to Montpellier, but about 400 euros and I figured we would still need to hire a car when we got there?? So cheaper to drive. We, and especially dd, speak french so not so worried about any language issues... Is there nightlife of any description?

PS do you have to get up at 7.30 to get a sunbed?

in august sunbeds were still free until noon but after that a bit tricky to find one. the basic white non adjustable ones are free and pplentiful. small number of blue adjustable one that they charge a fee for and they would be taken 10.

night life : something everynight. 3 times a week there is a kids show - from 8 to 8.30 and then every night an adults show from 9. it was very good. one evening there was variety show with dancing, and singing and comedy. one night a band was playing. ne night there was a music quiz, one night karakoe, one night there was a kids talent show
