Thinking of utilising cheap flights to carcassone and stumbled across this town. Has anyone been there? Wondering whether a week would be long enough or 14 days would do the trick!

Collioure is lovely, very pretty with lots of nice restaurants and tourist shops. However, it gets very busy in the summer and is best visited at the beginning or end of the holiday season. The beach is stony but the water is lovely to swim in. I would think a week would be enough if you were actually staying in the village and then maybe a villa with a pool further inland for another week!

agree, very nice there with lovely little streets to amble around in the evenings.

Very, very busy though.

Collioure is very pretty. We went in August and it was heaving night and day. You might get bored for 2 weeks, although there are plenty of day trip possibiities including Spain.

We gave up trying to visit on a market day for a daytrip - not a single parking spot to be found and whole town was gridlocked!

When we try again we will visit via a boat trip

Very pretty place though.
