Well I havn't been for quite a while but used to fly into Tegel

Schoenfeld is where the budget airlines go to. A bit further out than Tegel.

Tegel used to be the main one when I lived there, but I think most flights go into Shonefeld (sp?) now which was the main airport for East Berlin and is a bit further out and bigger.

Thanks KateF
Do you or anyone else happen to know if I would have to pay for a seat for my DD who will be a day short of her 2nd birthday?

I recently went to Berlin and flew in Schonfeld Easyjet fly from there. There is a train station at airport that runs to central Berlin

I think if she's below two (going both ways) then you can have her on her lap, it doesn't matter if she's only a day below two. It'll be a bit uncomfortable having her on your lap though, if you can get a cheap ticket you might be better off getting her a seat.
