Just interested to find out what you thought. The accommodation is 150m from Cala D'or centre - not sure if this will be too noisy? We have an 18 month old son (will be nearly 2 by the time we go), so would hate to think we will be getting the sweet sounds of karaoke or the like until the early hours!
Thanks muchly

yes its lovely and in my opinion fairly "posh" end of Majorca. I think Magaluf is more the karaoke end!!

My friend at work has been there twice we work in a travel agents, she loved it.

thanks so much for posting.
are we going to be kept awake? is it worth us trying to find somewhere that is a bit further out of a resort? unfortunately, i am no longer in the 18 with 2 friends league any more

I think it's more couples and families than gangs of rowdy hoodies. We went a few years ago to see Audoin's Gull (one of the rarest Gulls in the world if you are interested?).
We liked it but as we love walking we found the hiking a bit limited, that was the only problem though. Don't remember any noise problems.

Cala D'or is lovely, stayed in a villa in Cala Egos 4 yrs ago. Stayed near the "centre" years before that in hotel overlooking the main cove "cala gran"; there were no noise problems. However i did see some reviews of some apartments that were right in the middle of the centre, near to a couple of bars with outdoor discos/entertainment going on etc. Your best bet is to look up recent reviews of your accomadation on websites like trip advisor, holiday watchdog, holidays uncovered etc. If they are situated near any bars etc, the reviews will almost certainly say that. Having said that would agree with the other posts that Cala D'or is more geared up for family type entertainment, children's discos etc. It is quite a large resort now, and has several different areas to it, lovely classy marina with nice restaurants etc. Which accomadation were you looking at, it may ring a bell?
